Kim Haynes Photography bio picture

I am an Oklahoma City based photographer, specializing in natural light portraits of families, children, newborns, high school seniors, and engagement sessions. I recently decided to take on a select number of weddings per year, which I am really excited about! Here at my blog you will find my most recent sessions, any noteworthy news about KHP and random posts about my own little family. Sit back, take a look around and come back often!

sutton, 6 days old

This little guy….his nursery…where do I begin?   I guess the obvious place would be that head of hair he’s got!  I saw a friend of his mama’s on facebook refer to him as “wiggy”…. LOVE IT!

Carrie - That one of him in the green dresser with the blanket is stunning! Like a piece of artwork! What a cute little boy. :)

Brenda Elmore - Oh my goodness that is a gorgeous baby! The one in the drawer with that blanket is my favorite too!!

the September Client of the month is…drum roll please…..

September

Yay!!  Mary, shoot me an email and we will get you on the schedule this month. =)

If you’d like a chance to be Client of the Month for October, become a fan of KHP on facebook, watch for the October post and leave a comment. (usually around the 15th each month) Simple as that!!

Also, if you’d like family portraits done this Fall now’s the time to book!

Tabitha – Senior 2011

I love Senior sessions!! Especially when I have get a gorgeous client like this…I mean seriously… she’s adorable!  She also makes me feel really old, as I remember when she was born. ha!

We hung out down in the Paseo for a bit to get these and had to race to beat a horrible thunderstorm that was on it’s way. Nothing like a  little pressure, right?

Sandy Batt - Somebody better send this girl to Hollywood! Nah...second thought, don't spoil it. She is too beautiful and looks like it's from the inside out, too. It is shining right from her soul out through her eyes and you captured it incredibly well - as per the usual... How will she choose? Great job once again...

Brenda Elmore - BEAUTIFUL! Great job Kim!

Carrie - Wow - she is stunning!! Great pics, Kim.

Hayden turns one!

Just a fun little collage of a fun little cutie pie. =)

Petrini – party of, soon to be, four

I think I’ve photographed this family 4-5 times now….I’ve lost count.  (she is also the June, client of the month winner) But each and every time I have, it’s been so nice! They automatically know what to do in front of the camera: act like I’m not there and play with the kiddos. =)

Since Melissa won in June, we had a chance to do some maternity photos with the family.  (stay tuned for some from the super cute newborn session) We headed down to Bricktown and spent the evening sweating to death. It was totally worth it though!

Keshet - Gorgeous!

Good times at the Farmers market

I promise I have sessions other places as well, but clients really love all the colors and textures found at the market. I’m not complaining one bit…I love shooting there!

This session is quite possibly in my top 5 ever.  There is just something about the dynamic between them, the colors, the smiles, the complete candidness….I don’t know.  But I love every bit of it. =) I had a hard time narrowing them down…. Enjoy!

August’s winner and some exciting news!

Long time no see, huh?  I had every intention of picking a winner for this month and updating this blog  but life, as we know it, just got in the way. So, here’s a quick rundown of what’s been up with me.

First up, the August Winner! Shana, just shoot me an email and we will get your session scheduled. =) I look forward to meeting you!!

August

For those of you who would like your chance at a completely free photo session with me, just head on over to the Facebook Page and enter on the monthly post. =) Good luck!

Next, some exciting news:

Our little family of four will become a fabulous family of five in January!  We are thrilled.  So….while beginning work on a new house this fall, homeschooling Joshua, being busier than ever with KHP we’ll be adding a little bit more crazy to the mix.  Nothing we can’t handle, right?

When Barry and I told the kids, we didn’t really know how they would take the news. Josh’s first reaction was to worry about me and began asking if I was going to be okay and how much it would hurt. (I know, Sweet Boy, right?)   Julie on the other hand, said the cutest thing ever.  While placing both hands on her face on either side of her smile, she said “I knew this day would come! I knew this day would come!!!”  I just about died.  She’s a mess.

Speaking of my new little kindergartner, here are a few pictures I took during a photoshoot I did for the Jr. League of OKC’s book drive. Kind of nice having a cute little model in house, huh? ;)

Kelsie’s Bridal Portraits – aka: Proof I love my clients.

I’ve got a special place in my heart for each of my clients and there’s not much I won’t do to get a good shot.   Well, Sunday was no exception.  I spent a really fun afternoon tromping through Lord knows what out in the middle of a pasture filled with Buckin’ Bulls. Big huge things with very large horns.  I was super scared.  And I may or may not have tried to save my own life before Kelsie’s when I thought one of the aforementioned animals  wanted to eat us for dinner. ;)

Believe me when I say they weren’t all this cute:

Kelsie1

I guess being scared out of my mind was worth it though, because we captured this:

Kelsie2

and this:

Kelsie3

Yep, just chillin’ out by the cow pasture in her wedding dress, no big deal…. Ha!

Kelsie4

Love the shot on the right:

Kelsie9

A couple  in her mom’s beautiful backyard:

Then we were off to the hayfield, where her dad was drivin’ the big tractor around bailing hay:

Kelsie11

Kelsie5

We chased him down and got him to take a break  for a bit:

Kelsie7

Kelsie6

Kelsie’s grown up all her life with her daddy working so hard, so I had to get a shot of him, all dirty and grungy next to her in her gorgeous white dress. Made for a really cute shot, I think. =)

Kelsie8

btw, I was given the go ahead to post these photos even though the wedding isn’t for 4 weeks because, get this, her groom to be isn’t on the internet all that much. Can you imagine?? No internet? I’d like…..die! ;)
