This is definitely one of my favorite sessions from last fall. What started out as a mini session (only 8 images) turned into about a bazillion. Needless to say they upgraded on the spot once they found out how much fun they were having! =)

And this one….she was kinda shy but that didn’t stop her, she was workin’ it! So sweet.

Note to clients: Bring hats!! Please.

Too bad this was just a little mini-session, I could have taken his picture all day! So polite, sweet and funny….and totally loves his mama. =)

I do some work for the Oklahoma City Jr. League and was super stoked about this session for their upcoming book drive.

This is the 3rd (I think?) time I’ve had the opportunity to take pictures of this gal for her birthday. (love that her mama does that!) This age is kind of forgotten amongst the milestone portraits. Newborn, toddler, little kid…..those are a given, people schedule those all the time. But the “tween” age? Nope…not many at all. And let me tell you, it makes them feel so special having a session all to themselves!

She is such a sweetheart!

This family and I go way back. Back when there was only ONE cutie pie in the bunch! One of my very first sessions ever was baby photos for their son Jack. Look at him now! And his brother and sister, ta-boot! They are beautiful! (they take after their mama, I think! No offense, Monte…hehe)

This session was to focus on the littlest for her birthday, but with two brothers that were having so much fun, it didn’t quite work out that way. But we got some awesome shots anyway!

On a side note, after each session with this fam I am always told “I hope you got something!” or asked, “Do you think we got anything good?” And they continue to worry their little hearts out until I email them their gallery. OF COURSE we got something….always do. =)

Laura won her session and we like to never got it scheduled! First it was rain, then it was busy calendars for us both and by the time we actually found a day that worked for both of us, we dang near froze to death! But, you could never tell by looking at their pictures. The boys are just the cutest things and so well behaved! (a photographers dream!! hehe) We had a really good time at our session, even it it lasted about 20 minutes!

Meet Cruz & Fam

I met up with this little guy, along with his parents and both sets of grandparents a couple weeks ago and had such an nice time! Cruz turned one and I hadn’t seen him since his newborn session a year ago. He looked a little something like this:

This was the announcement we made up for him….adorable, right??

He has changed SO much in a year! Makes me really think about what I do and why….time goes by way to quickly. I love that the grandparents came a long for a bit, so important to document generations in a family. I just cherish the ones I’ve got of my own kiddos with their great-grandpa and grandma.

…for having the cutest little chubster, EVER. I dare you not to smile while you look through these pics. I just love this kid! And his mama is just the sweetest little thing. We started out our session in a nice little spot, got about 10 frames in before it started raining cats and dogs! I ended up heading to their house the next morning and got some really great shots! The rain turned out to be a blessing. =)

I’m telling ya….this age at home in their element makes for GREAT photos. =)

I know, I know. It’s February. I haven’t posted in months and I feel terrible.

Almost as bad as the time the post office lady told me congratulations and asked me when I was due…. when I wasn’t even pregnant. Okay, maybe not that terrible, but really bad!

So, I am making up for that and becoming a blog posting maniac in the next coming weeks. Get ready!

I’ll begin with a few shots of my own kiddos that we used on our Christmas cards this year. They were taken at the Sante Fe Depot in Shawnee. I had a couple reasons for doing our session there. The main one being I would be able to keep Josh’s attention for longer than 5 minutes with the promise of climbing all over the Sante Fe tain car when we were done. After all, the Sante Fe is his absolute favorite. It’s bright red color, the logo that he draws every chance he gets, the Sante Fe diesel engines with the “perfectly round rectangular windows”….makes him crazy. Think Star Wars Convention kind of crazy. Anyway, so I knew it would work taking him to the train depot….and it did!

I know, right? I was SO happy with how that shot turned out…..

Julie has a tendancy to be a bit sassy when the camera is on her.
